• This is called a ‘step sequencer’ (as opposed to a DAW or notation software) because each of the notes is a step

• Drum programming is a unit you can do with any students

• Tempo – slower or faster for different genres

• Beats – effect of putting the kick drum in different places or not having it at all

• Backbeat – kick and snare on beats and you can do whatever you like

• Timbre – different drum sounds
